Zinc Erythro  (Powder for reconstitution)
Topical Treatment of acne vulgaris

Composition:
Each 1ml Zinc Erythro contains
            Erythromycin  40mg
            Zinc Acetate   12mg

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Erythromycin is known to be efficacious at 4% in the topical treatment of acne vulgaris, zinc is topically established as an aid to wound healing. The zinc acetate is solubilised by complexing with the Erythromycin, and delivery of the complex is enhanced by the chosen vehicle.

INDICATIONS:
Topical treatment of acne vulgaris.

USAGE:
Before starting treatment mix the dry powder with the solvent according to preparation instructions below:


2- Pour the liquid from one bottle into the one containing the powder. The empty bottle may be discarded. Screw the remaining cap on the bottle containing the powder and the liquid.

1- Remove the caps from the bottles. Keep the cap of the bottle with the powder.

5- Push the applicator firmly into the neck of the bottle and close with cap.

 

4- Unscrew the cap from the bottle.

 

3- Shake immediately for one minute.

Apply a layer of Zinc Erythro onto the affected area twice daily for a period of 10–12 weeks.
The ready-made solution may be kept for only 5 weeks after mixing.

SIDE EFFECTS:
It may cause a burning or irritating sensation or a slight redness of the skin, this is due to the alcohol base of the product and usually not serious and disappears spontaneously.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to one of the product ingredients.

PRECAUTIONS:
Cross resistance may occur with other antibiotics of the macrolide group.
Contact with the eyes or the mucous membranes of the nose and mouth should be avoided.

USE IN PREGNANCY OR LACTATION:
Zinc Erythro may be used during pregnancy or lactation.

PRESENTATION:
