Rhinocil (Nasal Gel)

Decongestant and anti-histamine

Composition:
Each 100g Rhinocil Nasal Gel contains 25mg Dimetindene Maleate and 250mg Phenylephrine.

Indications:
Rhinocil Nasal Gel has decongestant and antihistaminic properties. Rhinocil Nasal Gel is indicated for common colds, acute sinusitis, acute rhinitis, allergic rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis, and rhinorrhagia.

Usage:
Apply a small quantity of Rhinocil Nasal Gel as high up the nostrils as possible. Duration of treatment should not exceed one week.

  • Children 2 – 6 years: 2 – 3 times daily.
  • Children over 6 years and adults: 3 – 4 times daily.

After each use the nasal applicator should be cleaned and kept with the tube in a clean place.

Side – Effects:
Rare cases of transient local sting reactions, and dryness of the nose.

Contra – Indications:
Hypersensitivity to one of the components, or using Rhinocil Nasal Gel in children under 2 years.

Precautions:

  • Rhinocil Nasal Gel should be used with caution in patients with cardio-vascular disease, thyrotoxicosis or closed angle glaucoma, or in patients receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors.
  • During treatment with Rhinocil Nasal Gel, physician should make sure that sympatho-mimetic-containing preparations are not simultaneously administered.
  • Excessive administration of Rhinocil Nasal Gel to the nasal mucosa may produce rebound congestion and rhinorrhoea.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation:
It should not be used in pregnancy and lactation.

Absorption and Elimination:
Topical administration of Rhinocil Nasal Gel leads to only very low active constituent levels in the plasma.

Presentation:
