COMPOSITION:

Each chewable tablet contains:

Calcium Citrate                1000mg (equivalent to 210mg elemental calcium)

Magnesium Hydroxide     240mg (equivalent to 100mg elemental magnesium)

Zinc Sulphate                  17.6mg (equivalent to 4mg elemental zinc)

Vitamin D3                      200 I.U

PROPERTIES:

Calcium strengthens our teeth and bones, it has a significant effect on the function of our nervous system, our muscles, our heart and our body’s ability to secrete insulin and help in prevention of osteoporosis. Knowing that the calcium salts in this product is citrate, which is generally more tolerated as compared to carbonate salts and dose not cause kidney stone.

Magnesium is essential for the normal function of our muscles, our heart and our circulation. it builds up our immune system and is essential during the process of producing and transferring energy throughout our body.

Zinc deficiency can occur in individuals on inadequate diets, in malabsorption, with increased body loss due to trauma, burns and protein losing conditions.

A deficiency of Vitamin D leads to inadequate absorption of calcium and phosphorus from the intestinal tract and retention of these minerals in the kidney leading to faulty mineralization of bone structures.

INDICATIONS:     

Multi-Mineral is indicated for use:

• In improving the nutritional status of women prior to conception, throughout pregnancy and in the postnatal period for both lactating and non-lactating mothers.
• In prevention and treatment of osteoporosis, especially in postmenopausal women.

DOSAGE:

One chewable tablet 1-3 times daily. Or otherwise as instructed by physican.

SIDE EFFECTS:

Calcium citrate is generally well tolerated, it may cause constipation.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

It is contraindicated in case of presence hypercalcaemia, or severe renal failure.
