Composition:
Each 100g Cream contains 0.1g Benzalkonium chloride and 22g Dimeticone.
Mechanism of action:
Benticon cream contains two active ingredients:
- Dimeticone is a silicone fluid, which is a water repellant. When applied to the skin it creates a barrier between the skin and water, or any other water soluble skin irritants.
- Benzalkonium chloride is an antiseptic that is effective against a wide range of bacteria and yeast (fungal) infections, that are often present with nappy rash.
This cream forms a thin layer over the skin which protects and promotes healing of the skin.
Usage:
- Nappy rash.
- Sores caused by lying or sitting in the same position for long periods of time.
- Urinary rash
Precautions:
- This cream is for external use on the skin only.
- Avoid contact with the eyes and mouth.
- This medicine should not be used if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.
Undesirable effects:
Skin irritation in people hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.
