COMPOSITION:

Clotrimazole 1%

Betamethasone dipropionate 0.064%

(equivalent to Betamethasone Base 0.05%).

INDICATIONS:

Candi-Cort Cream contains clotrimazole which is a broad spectrum anti-fungal, and betamethasone which has anti-inflammatory and anti-pruritic activity.

Candi-Cort Cream is used in the treatment of:

• Trichophyton rubrum.
• Mentagrophytes.
• Epidermophyton floccosum.
• Microsporum canis.
• Candida albicans.

USAGE:

Apply Candi-Cort cream as a thin layer twice daily for two weeks. Usually improvement occurs within the first week of treatment. In tinea pedies treatment should be last for 4 weeks, and improvement occurs within two weeks of treatment.

Relief of erythema and pruritus will show improvement.

SIDE – EFFECTS:

Rarely Candi-Cort Cream may occurs burring, edema,  pruritus.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Facial rosacea, acne vulgaris, Peri-oral dermatitis and anal pruritus, bacterial infections.

PRECAUTIONS:

• Courses should be limited to 5 days if Candi-Cort Cream used on the face or mucosas in children.
• Long term continuous therapy or using occlusive dressing should be avoided.

USE IN PREGNANCY:

Candi-Cort Cream should not be used in pregnancy in large amounts or for prolonged periods.
