Each 100g Cream contains 100mg Mometasone Furoate.
MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Like other topical corticosteroids, MOTASONE has anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritic and vasoconstrictive properties. However, corticosteroids are thought to act by the induction of phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins, which called lipocortins. These proteins control the biosynthesis of potent mediators of inflammation such as prostaglandin and leukotrienes by inhibiting the release of their common precursor arachidonic acid (Arachidonic acid is released from membrane’s phospholipids by phospholipase A2).
MOTASONE cream is indicated for the relief of inflammatory, pruritic and manifestations of corticosteroid responsive dermatosis such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.
MOTASONE cream: Apply a thin layer to the affected skin areas once daily.
Local adverse reactions reported are very rarely. With the Cream it includes paresthesia, pruritus and signs of skin atrophy.
Hypersensitivity to active material, other corticosteroids or any component of the product. It’s also contraindicated in bacterial, viral and fungal infections.
USE IN PREGNANCY OR LACTATION:
The product should be used during pregnancy or lactation only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk.
