COMPOSITION:
Each 100g Cream, Ointment or External Solution contains 100mg Mometasone Furoate.
MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Like other topical corticosteroids, MOTASONE has anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritic and vasoconstrictive properties. However, corticosteroids are thought to act by the induction of phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins, which called lipocortins. These proteins control the biosynthesis of potent mediators of inflammation such as prostaglandin and leukotrienes by inhibiting the release of their common precursor arachidonic acid (Arachidonic acid is released from membrane’s phospholipids by phospholipase A2).
